GNC Flight Control Engineer Job Description :
Talon Analytics is hiring a Principal or Senior Principal Guidance Navigation and Controls (GNC) Engineer to join our Vehicle Engineering team of qualified, diverse individuals in SoCal, however will primarily be working remotely from Tucson, full-time for 6 months. Some travel is required. The GNC Flight Control Engineer will design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms, software, and simulation tools to perform GNC of manned aircraft. The Guidance, Navigation and Control Group is responsible for all requirements, trade studies, algorithm designs and performance analyses required to develop products that navigate, guide and fly precisely and accurately.
Primary Qualifications :
- Experience with navigation functions including the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality
- Experience with guidance functions including the formulation of specific equations to achieve a desired position, orientation, or trajectory
- Experience as a technical fellow or other technical lead within GNC work.
- Developed, tested and delivered code for a guided munition or other flight systems.
- Knowledge of designing, developing, and implementing simulation software to test and verify mission requirements for air vehicles
- C / C and / or Python Programming Skills
- Proficient using Simulink to model dynamic systems
- Recent task management experience in an engineering development environment (schedule and budget tracking / work package management).
- Experience as a technical fellow or other technical lead within GNC work.
