College Campus Security Officer

Position Location: San Antonio, TX

We are looking for competent Level 2 and level 3 Security Officers to join our Team at Talon Premier Security LTD. Potential start date will be May 12, 2025.

You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.

A Security Officer’s role is to undertake the surveillance of a location and to protect clients, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
• Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Requirements:

• Current Level 2 or Level 3 TX Guard card
• High School diploma is required
• Proven experience as security officer (minimum 1 yr experience)
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Familiarity with report writing / ability to write reports and correspondence in a clear and concise manner
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
• Must have transportation

Requires the physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions effectively. 1-2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the Talon Premier Security. Relevant experience can be substituted with education of applicable proficiency of the above-mentioned job duties.

Unarmed Level 2 Security officer - Starting rate: $15.45

Armed Level 3 security officer - Starting rate: $18.75
