Role Description
The Commercial Business Analyst reports to the VP, Commercial Partnerships and is responsible for operational, data analysis and reporting tasks related to optimizing the output of Talon’s Commercial team. This role supports the effective management and delivery of the commercial targets and communication with the key stakeholders at Talon.

A DAY IN THE LIFE_
- Produce and circulate weekly revenue and performance reports across Management, Commercial and Client teams as needed.
- Partner with internal Client Strategy teams, as well as external suppliers, to ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting.
- Partner with Talon’s Finance team to ensure client and supplier partnership terms are fully executed.
- Identify risks and opportunities for the commercial team through analysis of data.
- Identify and analyze trends in the market to influence commercial strategy.
- Support Commercial Team with communicating the commercial strategy to the business and assisting the teams.
- Liaise with various key members of Talon Business Units to ensure visibility on campaigns.
- Build and maintain relationships with input into the development of Plato and Atlas to optimize reporting for investment.
- Conduct regular quality checks on reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with data sources.
- Participate in regular meetings with key media owners.
- Other duties as needed by Talon.
- Proven experience in data analysis and reporting roles
- Track record of managing external stakeholders effectively
- Proficiency in providing detailed reporting to diverse audiences
- Ability to influence decision making through presenting insights and recommendations
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and BI tools (Power BI preferred)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including growth analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting
- Familiarity with media buying platforms and campaign metrics (preferred)
