What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Talona Ridge Luxury RV Resort?
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and friendly Hourly Bartender who can provide exceptional service in our resort's bar, catering to a diverse clientele of travelers and RV enthusiasts. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of mixology, be adept at handling cash and point-of-sale systems, and possess excellent communication skills to ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and serve beverages including classic cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks
- Stay updated on trends and contribute to developing seasonal menus
- Provide exceptional, personalized service to all guests, ensuring their bar experience aligns with the luxury standards of our resort
- Operational Efficiency:Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. This includes but is not limited to, managing inventory, restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Cash Handling & POS:Accurately process transactions using our point-of-sale system, handle cash, credit card transactions, and mobile payments. Balance cash drawers and perform end-of-shift procedures as required.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., food service, events) to ensure seamless execution of resort activities and events. Contribute to maintaining a positive, supportive team environment.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the service of alcoholic beverages, including but not limited to, age verification and recognizing signs of intoxication.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a luxury setting or a similar RV/resort environment is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of spirits, beers, wines, and mixers is a plus.
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to accommodate peak seasonal demands.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a POS system.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and move swiftly in a confined space.
