We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex technology projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and demonstrate a proven track record of successful project execution. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Define project milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
Methodology Expertise:
- Apply Agile (Scrum, Kanban) or Waterfall methodologies based on project requirements and organizational standards.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) as needed.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation using Waterfall approaches when applicable.
- Be able to blend the best of both methodologies to create a hybrid approach when needed.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback.
- Facilitate team communication and collaboration.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control.
- Track project expenses and report on budget variances.
- Forecast project costs and resource requirements.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Implement quality control processes and procedures.
- Conduct project reviews and audits.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively manage and monitor project risks.
- Escalate critical risks to senior management as needed.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Create and manage project artifacts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager.
- Proven experience managing complex IT projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Asana).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is a plus.
