IT Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex technology projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and demonstrate a proven track record of successful project execution. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Define project milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.

Methodology Expertise:

• Apply Agile (Scrum, Kanban) or Waterfall methodologies based on project requirements and organizational standards.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) as needed.
• Develop and maintain detailed project documentation using Waterfall approaches when applicable.
• Be able to blend the best of both methodologies to create a hybrid approach when needed.

Stakeholder Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback.
• Facilitate team communication and collaboration.

Budget Management:

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control.
• Track project expenses and report on budget variances.
• Forecast project costs and resource requirements.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
• Implement quality control processes and procedures.
• Conduct project reviews and audits.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proactively manage and monitor project risks.
• Escalate critical risks to senior management as needed.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
• Create and manage project artifacts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager.
• Proven experience managing complex IT projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Asana).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is a plus.
