You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Analytics, Product Marketing, and Design, to create and implement effective strategies that engage app users.

What does the day-to-day look like?
- Develop and execute a comprehensive app retention marketing strategy, utilizing push notifications, email, SMS, and in-app messaging to reach users.
- Lead the execution and optimization of campaigns aimed at increasing user engagement, visits, and daily app activity.
- Use data and analytics to identify user segments and personalize messaging to improve retention and engagement.
- Leverage platform tools, like Braze or similar ESPs, to manage end-to-end campaign execution.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in push marketing, mobile engagement, and digital marketing.
- Contribute to improving team processes by suggesting and implementing actions that increase efficiency and agility.
- Communicate updates, launch timelines, blockers, and dependencies on a weekly basis to stakeholders.
- Be prepared to work outside of normal hours (weekends, late nights, or early mornings) for urgent campaign launches or message delivery.
- 5 years of experience in retention marketing, with a focus on mobile-first strategies and complex technical execution within an ESP or Marketing Automation platform.
- Proficiency in Braze or a similar ESP platform, with hands-on experience optimizing campaigns.
- Experience collaborating with data science teams to design and run experiments, such as A/B/n or multi-armed bandit tests.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical expertise and a demonstrated ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly.
- Accountability for delivering high-quality work and proactively sharing insights with peers and leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a bias for action and the ability to adapt to the evolving marketing landscape.
- A natural collaborator who builds positive relationships across teams and drives decision-making within cross-functional groups.
- Familiarity with CAN-SPAM/CASL/GDPR regulations and inbox deliverability standards.
- Basic understanding of data segmentation, attribution, and SQL.
- Experience using HTML to build and personalize marketing communications
