JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk/Specialist is responsible for providing general support to the Administration/Accounting Department.
All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates friendliness, initiative, professionalism, personal awareness and integrity while exercising confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.
Starting Pay Rate: $18/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process, file, and manage documents including invoices
- Manage information databases to ensure accurate records
- Handle phone and email inquiries in a polite and efficient manner
- Provide accounts payable/receivable support
- Daily data management and input
- Adhere to Title 31 regulations and all applicable Federal, State and Gaming Control Board laws, regulations, and/or ordinances
- Show willingness and effort to work as a team
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21
- Energetic, positive attitude and growth mindset oriented
- Experience working with A/P and A/R preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace required - spreadsheets, word processing, email and document management
- Must be detail-oriented and accurately maintain records for paper and electronic filing
- Proficiency in various accounting software packages preferred
- Knowledge of Title 31 preferred
- Excellent people skills and ability to courteously and efficiently interact with fellow employees, management and vendors to ensure a positive experience
- Must pay attention to detail
- Must display excellent time management and prioritize effectively when working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and listen attentively
- Must follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
- Ability to lift, handle and carry a minimum of 25 pounds
- Ability to sit, bend, stand, walk and exert well-paced mobility
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
- Must be able to obtain/maintain NV Gaming Control Board Registration (cost = approximately $140; renewed every 5 years)
