The RCAC RN Manager plays a key role in managing the daily operations of the RCAC (Residential Care Apartment Complex), ensuring the highest quality of care and service for tenants. This role is responsible for overseeing staff and delivering comprehensive, tenant-centered care through the application of the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation, following Tamarack Health's policies and standards. The RCAC RN Manager works closely with the RCAC team to foster a positive work environment, promote staff professional growth, and collaborate with the Campus Administrator to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Departmental Oversight & Scheduling: Oversee schedules and timecards for staff, ensuring adequate staffing and operational efficiency. Monitor attendance and department workflow.
- Staff Training & Development: Assist with staff selection, onboarding, training, and mentorship. Promote ongoing professional development.
- Tenant Admissions & Community Engagement: Manage admissions, conduct tours, meet with prospects, and complete paperwork. Build positive relationships with prospective tenants and families.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to WCCEAL GOLD standards, submit quarterly reports, and oversee tenant satisfaction surveys for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration & Communication: Address tenant and family concerns, ensuring timely responses. Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively using SBAR during shift changes.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Update shift reports and identify tenants needing additional assessments. Communicate with the Campus Administrator on significant issues.
- Employee Evaluations & Corrective Actions: Assist in employee evaluations and corrective actions. Ensure policy compliance and performance expectations are met.
- Emergency Procedures & Safety: Conduct monthly meetings, train staff on emergency procedures, and enforce policies to ensure safety.
- Patient-Centered Care: Provide individualized, safe, and effective care. Assess needs, prioritize, and implement interventions based on current conditions.
- Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments and document care delivery in line with policies and protocols.
- Care Plan Development & Collaboration: Collaborate on care plans that reflect patient preferences and best practices.
- Treatment and Documentation: Administer treatments accurately and document interventions and responses promptly.
- Emergency Response: Initiate emergency resuscitative measures as needed to ensure patient safety in critical situations.
Education/Experience:
Preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in Assisted Living or a similar setting
- Previous management experience
Required
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Associate’s degree in nursing
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
