Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and versatile Host/Busser to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for warmly welcoming and seating guests, managing reservations, and assisting with bussing tables to ensure a clean and enjoyable dining experience. Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they enter the restaurant.
- Manage the seating chart and coordinate table assignments to optimize service flow.
- Maintain an accurate waitlist during busy periods and provide estimated wait times.
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and address guest inquiries professionally.
- Collaborate with servers and management to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist with clearing and reseting tables quickly and efficiently between guests.
- Assist servers in maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Assist with ensuring all tabletop items (silverware, napkins, condiments) are restocked as needed.
- Support with carrying dirty dishes to the dishwashing area.
- Monitor the cleanliness of the restaurant, including floors, tables, and chairs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host, busser, or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
