Overview
Tamarack Marketplace is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associates to join our dynamic team in a full-time seasonal or part-time capacity. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service and driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge. This position is not high-pressure sales but requires engagement with our locals and travelers. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming shopping environment and ensuring that customers have a positive experience. No late nights because we close at 7 pm. This position does require most weekends and holidays. Plus, 20% employee discount on retail and 50% off in the restaurant.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register, ensuring all sales are processed efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during their shopping experience.
- Keep the sales floor organized, clean, and visually appealing to enhance the overall shopping experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong cash handling skills with an understanding of cash register operations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
- A friendly demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse customers.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
