Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. This role will accept and process deliveries from the warehouse and other vendors, verifies packing lists to items received, ensuring accurate deliveries. The shipping component will include providing shipping and details sold items to customers. The Shipping and Receiving must pay great attention to detail and be in good physical condition to lift and move heavy items.
Duties
· Comparing purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
· Inspecting deliveries to ensure they match order and invoice criteria.
· Receiving and signing deliveries.
· Unloading deliveries from trucks.
· Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
· Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
· Updating inventory with received items.
· Communicating with vendors regarding delays or problems.
· Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
· Assuring no damaged items are sent or received.
· Obtain and process product shipping needs for items purchased by customers.
· Responsible for outgoing packages are packed correctly and accurately.
· Utilize online sources to ship products to various destinations.
· Maintain organization in the shipping and receiving department.
· Ordering products; bags, boxes, packing materials, etc.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills

· Good communication and organizational skills.
· Good understanding of department safety regulations
· Physical dexterity and the ability to lift 70 lbs.
· Ability to multi-task and work independently.
· Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs.
· Basic math skills.
· Basic knowledge of computer software; Microsoft Office and online shipping websites.
· The ability to stand for long periods of time, move around often and lift items repeatedly.
Education and/or Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Previous working experience as a shipping and receiving clerk.
· Prior experience in retail or relevant field.
· General knowledge of invoices and packing slips.
