Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role is a critical part of our restaurant's daily operations and requires someone who is committed to providing exceptional service to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes.
- Inspect, clean, and organize all items, send soiled items back for re-cleaning and re-washing if necessary.
- Sort, soak, and wash china, glass and silverware.
- Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area.
- Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments.
- Dispose of glass in the proper containers.
- Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.
- Assist with putting away all orders when they are delivered.
- Maintain all walk-ins, mopping and sweeping daily.
- Sweep cooks’ line after each service (lunch rush, dinner rush).
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices.
- Comply with all club policies, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for members and guests.
- Strive to exceed customer expectations and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with other staff members and departments to ensure seamless coordination of club services and operations.
- Comply with established safe work practices and attend all safety-related training provided or made available by the Club.
- Due to the intimate nature of the resort with limited number of guests on property, must assist teams laterally across all departments to lead a seamless guest flow throughout the different Club spaces.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is essential.
- Proven experience in a dishwashing role or similar kitchen position.
- Familiarity with food safety and handling practices is required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
- Experience with banquet and catering services is a plus.
- Food handling serving certifications required by local or state agencies.
