Tamayo Federal Solutions, LLC (TFS) is seeking a Business Development Analyst to join our cooperate growth team. The role is ideal for someone eager to broaden their business development skills while making a significant contribution to the company’s strategic growth and corporate marketing. This position has the potential to be hybrid, however, expectation is if hybrid eligible, come into office at least 3 days per week. The TFS office headquarters is located in Virginia Beach, VA.
BD Analyst
- Assist the BD team in finding, analyzing and supporting the prioritization of the most promising and impactful opportunities for TFS across all government lines of effort with DoD/Navy, HHS/CDC and DHS.
- Help TFS compete by finding and evaluating partner companies and analyzing competitors
- Support growth operations by keeping our pipeline up to date and customizing our NextStage customer relationship management system reporting in response to user needs.
- Assist in new initiatives and cross organization functions.
Role And Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and present on government procurement opportunities (e.g. RFPs, RFIs, etc). Assist in the preparation of business cases and presentations for leadership and potential partners.
- Conduct competitive market research to identify current vendor landscape and contracts related to strategic clients and program areas. Record insights about changes in the competitive environment and share with stakeholders, including the strategy team and senior leadership.
- Develop reports on potential customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor, track and report on updates for upcoming and live procurements using business development tools (NextStage and SharePoint).
- Identify and evaluate new areas of opportunity, including projects, offerings, and partnerships that align with the company’s growth strategy.
- Help TFS understand new programs, teaming opportunities and new markets by evaluating the landscape of systems and services to identify risks, dependencies, stakeholders and areas where we can provide value.
- Develop processes, analysis, and artifacts that engage TFS executives, teams, and our government partners around priorities and support quick, clear decision-making.
- Coordinate with new and existing teammates on pipeline opportunities.
- Support capture efforts to include coordination and participation in client meetings, market research and data calls.
- Liaison with proposal support team and color team assistance.
- Engage with potential clients to request information and address questions throughout the deal process
Business Development Support:
- Proposal development and technical writing and review
- Maintain and update pipeline
- Develop/Update marketing materials
- Conduct research using the internet and publicly available resources/tools
- Leverage professional network connections and referrals
- Coordinate and arrange meetings
Assist in the increase of revenue streams by:
- Performing data and market analysis
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Marketing and development of new opportunities in current and new markets (Capture)
- Maintaining positive relationships with current clients and building new client relationships
Requirements
These Qualifications are Required
- Experience: At least one year of experience in Business Development (BD) in the federal government or state government space.
- Competence conducting opportunity tracking using a variety of tools including Deltek GovWin, SAM.gov, fpds.gov as well as federal procurement sites and agency forecasts.
- An adaptive, eager to learn, collaborative, and positive mindset.
- Highly resourceful, reliable, and detail oriented.
- Ability to learn quickly, stay informed and deliver insightful analyses of new opportunities. You accept that things change quickly in Government acquisition BD environment and are willing to pivot rapidly on priorities
- Expert experience with Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- 2-5 years BD/Capture analyst support experience
- Shipley BD Lifecyle experience to include BD, Capture and Proposal support
- Experience with NextStage CRM
- Basic data and financial analysis skills
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication and client management skills
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree (in any discipline) or equivalent in experience.

- An active Secret Clearance
- May be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
