TAMKO Building Products LLC is seeking a Process Technician B for the High Street facility in Joplin, Missouri. The Process Technician B is a member of a production team tasked with safely and efficiently executing the production process.

- Independently operate the inspection or process end of the production line.
- Take corrective action to reduce the production of waste on the line.
- Move freely throughout the line to troubleshoot production or raw material systems, verify application and quality of key raw materials, and be aware of potential visual defects in the finished product.
- Perform quality checks by constantly moving throughout the production line to verify granule blends, cooling spray heads, or laminate application is within tolerance.
- Perform hourly line checks inspecting and correcting (clean/fix) key areas of the line.
- Ensure the line maintains the highest possible speed through clearing of bundles from a conveyor or bundling trey.
- Correct issues at the packing system, setting up splices at the production end, and utilizing forklifts where necessary to move product.
- Identify process-related problems in your area of responsibility, in a timely fashion, and report them to your chain of command for notification. These problems may include material jams, loss of flow to a key system, or the malfunction of a packing system.
- Resolve production issues by removing bundles from the line, moving up and down varying stair levels to clear material restrictions, or re-lacing the sheet into the machine.
- Assist in line recovery during upset conditions, scheduled downtime, or to cover the absence of another operator.
- Use the Survey, Spot, and Safeguard approach to all tasks and communicate any area in need of improvement through your chain of command.
- Replace belting, rollers or scrapers to sustain the speed of the production line.
- Clean asphalt buildup and debris off key pieces of equipment, chiseling asphalt from motors or pumps, and using an air hammer to identify poor quality material.
- Perform clean-up duties including the use of shovels, water hoses, or brooms to remove excess raw material debris from floor or machine, transport debris to the dumpster, remove waste dumpster, and unload into waste van for haul away.
- Operate several kinds of powered industrial vehicles such as a forklift.
- Deliver product wrapper rolls to production line.
- Restack partial pallets of material.
- Works rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends and overtime as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of the Process Technician Trainee program including forklift operation and LOTO.
- Successful completion of a 2-month introductory period in the assigned Process Technician B position.
- Completion of 3 months as a Forklift Operator.
- Completion of Inspection and Process End Operator Certifications.

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- This job is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, odors and airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat or cold, vibration and confined spaces. The employee is occasionally exposed to acidic or caustic chemicals. A respirator may be required at times.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to traverse both the production and office floors; remain in stationary positions while operating heavy equipment and/or office equipment; position self to inspect, operate, and maintain heavy equipment, which may include climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling and crouching.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, with hearing protection provided.
