Job Title: Program Assistant
Provides daily assistance in support of one or more programs for the organization, including fundraising, budgeting, research, and community outreach. Schedules meetings or special events and answers questions from donors. Assists in the creation of promotional materials or solicitations/informational mailings. Generates reports detailing the status of programs or projects. May coordinate volunteer schedules or trainings. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the program manager. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Should be familiar with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Work is closely managed. Typically requires 2-5 years of related experience.
This person acts in the role of programmatic support and coordination for Program, Administration, Resource Development, and Finance departments. Cross-training will be provided in all four departments.
The person will be responsible for assisting in:
· compiling, filing, and entering youth participant data into the computer
· entering data into computer database and run reports as directed by supervisor
· Coordinating activities & events
· Performing general office duties: answering phones, faxing, clerical, typing, and filing, scheduling and planning meetings.
· Marketing campaigns
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Program Assistant will support the management staff, with cultivating community volunteers for special events, activities, and projects. Supports the management staff with public relations services (i.e. – weekly press releases, media contacts, etc.), facilitate community partnerships and review department documents as it relates to the Agency’s image. Supports the program manager with the Agency website site and allow individuals and/or corporations to make donations and view web content. Supports the program manager plan events and activities that will assist with channeling resources to the Agency. The individual supports the program manager with sending information to the public. Provide other duties as assigned.
