What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Biller position at Tampa Bay Hand Center?
We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Medical Coder and Biller to add to our team!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Medical coding / billing
· Surgical coding/billing
· AR management
· Payment negotiation
· Accurately code procedures and services, and manage billing using EClinicalWorks
· Payment posting and allocation
· Proactively follow up on denied claims, working with insurance companies to resolve disputes and secure payment.
· Maintain robust accounts receivable processes, including monitoring outstanding balances and implementing follow-up procedures to reduce days in A/R.
· Insurance verification
· Obtaining surgical and clinical authorizations
· Payment/insurance questions from patients and insurances, in a professional and courteous manner.
· Weekly reporting, as well as monthly reconciliations
· Reviewing insurance contracts & reimbursement guidelines
· Calculating patient cost estimates.
· Stay up-to-date with changes in medical terminology, billing regulations, and coding systems to ensure accurate and compliant billing practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
· ASC OR hospital billing experience
· In-depth knowledge of insurance and payer contracts.
· Experience with eClinicalWorks
· Professional work ethic
· High level of integrity

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Eligible to work in US
· Must be a team Player
PREFERENCES:
· 2 yrs job experience and knowledge of eClinicalWorks
· 2 years of experience in medical coding in an ASC setting.
· Certification in medical billing & coding (e.g., CPC, COC, CRC, AAPC, AHIMA)
