What are the responsibilities and job description for the Box Office position at Tampa Bay Rays?
The Tampa Bay Rays are seeking energetic collaborators for game day/night positions during the 2025 season. We are looking for outgoing, professional, dependable, and conscientious individuals to round out our part-time Box Office staff. Shifts will include morning, evening, and weekends during the regular season. Select shifts will be available outside of the regular season.
Qualified individuals will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Selling tickets for Rays baseball at George M. Steinbrenner Field through ticketing software and the MLB Ballpark app
- Provide exceptional customer service and improve the mobile experience for all Rays fans while reflecting the fun, safe, and energetic atmosphere of Rays baseball
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise for fans regarding online ticket accounts and the MLB Ballpark App
- Assist and be a resource to all fans throughout George M. Steinbrenner Field.
- Assist with various special projects as needed
Potential candidates must have:
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software including Pro-Venue
- Punctuality and dependability
- Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays is a must, includes at least 60% of the 81 home games
- Familiarity with both Apple and Android apps and cell phone technology
- Professional, positive, and friendly personality
- Strong attention to details
- An understanding of evolving ticket technology
- Ability to communicate effectively with fans, coworkers, supervisors, and management team
