Groundskeeper

The Tampa Bay Rowdies are looking for a Groundskeeper performing the day-to-day maintenance of the fields.

Responsibilities

• The position will perform skilled landscape construction duties including the repair and construction of athletic fields, irrigation systems, drainage systems, walkways, etc.
• Executes the playing field maintenance program including fertilization, cultural practices and irrigation and all other related functions.
• Experience handling and applying pesticides and fungicides.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time in high heat and humidity
• Ability to work with any plant materials, soils, pesticides, and chemicals commonly used in landscaping operations.
• Obtain instructions and carry out assignments as given by the Director of Stadium and Grounds.
• Help supervise crew putting out field tarps and putting them away.
• Experience painting sports field lines.
• Operating all small to medium sized grounds equipment. (weed eaters, blowers, paint machine)
• Experience cutting turf with a reel mower.
• Experience with fertilizing.
• Experience with repair of irrigation.
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience with sports turf maintenance, preferred.
• Willingness to work a variable schedule including some weekends and holidays, especially during the soccer season.
