GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of the Director of Concessions, the Airport Concessions Manager is responsible for the administration of leases and contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions expressed therein; monitor business partner operations, and assist in developing business and operational recommendations, maintain strong relationships with business partners, and conduct regular site visits. Additionally, the position is required to provide exceptional leadership. The Manager of Airport Concessions is responsible for the oversight of contract management, development and management of procurements, business partner compliance, conflict management, and the day-to-day management of the relationships between the Authority and business partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Build internal and external relationships to deliver strategic goals.
- Work with Concessionaire partners to promote success by reviewing short- and long-term metrics.
- Ensure compliance with leases and contracts by enforcing provisions related to insurance, surety, security, pricing, and collections.
- Prepare and provide input on a variety of financial reports, including the development of pro forma statements, break-even analyses, and cost-benefit evaluations.
- Prepare presentations to further the Authority's strategic business plan and support new initiatives.
- Support and enhance the financial performance of related business lines while assisting in the preparation of the annual departmental budget.
- Develop and manage procurements.
- Drafts and prepares documents for Authority Board meetings.
- Manage the day-to-day relationship between the Authority and the concession tenants; resolve management, tenant, and customer complaints and conflicts between tenants to ensure excellent customer service.
- Support events for Airport tenants including training seminars, meetings and special events and assistance with security clearance and badging.
- Ensures business partners submit required reports and payments on time and assists with collection of past due fees.
- Coordinates with other Authority departments and outside agencies as needed.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of the position.
