Medicaid Speciliast Job Summary:
The Medicaid Specialist determines client eligibility for Medicaid financial assistance through interactive interviews and fact gathering. Focusing on out-of-state referrals, in-state challenges, Medicaid Pending cases, and cases without a Business Office Manager, you will work with various teams to ensure accurate financial reviews for Medicaid long-term care.
Medicaid Speciliast Major Duties and Critical Tasks:
• Conduct interviews and gather information to assess Medicaid eligibility• Manage referrals and collaborate with Centralized Admission Intake and Business Development teams
• Coordinate with Business Office Managers to communicate income and resource obligations
• Evaluate and improve financial systems and policies as needed
Medicaid Speciliast Required Education and Experience:
• 3-5 years’ experience with Medicaid applications for long-term care facilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiar with PCC
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
