GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE OF FUNCTION
Accounts Payable Coordinators are responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function. This generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking, and recording purchase orders, and processing payments.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Vendor maintenance:
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices.
- Prepare check runs and ACH runs in accordance with Company policy.
- Maintain large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries.
Check requests:
- Process check requests and expenses reports on a regular basis.
Monthly reconciliations:
- Perform monthly reconciliations related to accounts payable.
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
Credit card:
- Audit and process credit card bills.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATIORS (KPIs)
- Process invoices and check requests within month issued to minimize accruals.
- Keep accounts payable aging within company policy and review any payments outside set guidelines.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma; associate's degree in accounting preferred.
- Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience with accounts payable or general accounting
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
