About the Role
Tampa Maid Foods is seeking a detail-driven and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations through general ledger reconciliation, fixed asset accounting, audit readiness, and cross-functional support.
You’ll work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure accurate reporting, efficient processes, and financial compliance—while helping support special projects and IT improvements across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Own key aspects of period-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and income statement reviews
- Handle daily cash processing and reconciliations
- Manage fixed assets and capital expenditures tracking in Adaptive
- Renew company licenses, permits, and vehicle registrations
- Prepare and file non-income taxes and IRS Form 1099
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Serve as a resource for AP and operational departments
- Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives and ERP support
What We’re Looking For:
- BS in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred
- 6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel skills
- ERP experience required (SAGE X3 preferred)
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Previous manufacturing industry experience is a strong plus
