What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property/Grounds Associate I (Seasonal) -Camp Cristina YMCA position at TAMPA METROPOLITAN AREA YMCA INC?
Under the supervision of the Property Director, the Property & Grounds Associate is responsible for maintaining and preparing the center property which could include: multiple athletic fields, pavilion, airnasium and running trail; operating mowers and light equipment; performing routine sprinkler maintenance, in addition to preventive maintenance and minor repair of all grounds keeping equipment; mowing grass, lining fields, cleanings grounds, emptying garbage receptacles, edging, weeding, and maintaining flower beds and shrubs; planting and transplanting landscape materials; and perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilities Administration
- Work with the Property Director to execute on priorities when it comes to property maintenance in their centers.
- Maintain property and grounds in an attractive manner at all times
- Ensures timely response to general maintenance requests and emergency orders (within service level agreement timelines)
- Ensures that all work projects stay within or below budget; pre-approval required
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of all company owned tools, equipment and facilities in their centers
Safety and Risk Management
- Ensures team adherence to all YMCA policies and procedures regarding the safety, health and welfare of members, program participants, guests and staff members:
- Responsible for the security of all company owned tools, equipment, vehicles, building, inventory and security of the buildings
- Concerned with safety- both as it relates to members and staff members
