What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Assistant position at Tampa Surgical Arts?
We are looking for a medical/surgical assistant for our rapidly expanding office with an accredited operating room.
The position will be full-time and open immediately.
This is an innovative office with a fun and caring working environment.
The ideal candidate will be an individual committed to exceptional customer service, positive attitude, and willingness to learn new skills.
The office performs mainly full body cosmetic surgery and breast surgery.
The candidate will also assist our Master Esthetic Injector for their busy injectable practice (Botox, dermal fillers, non surgical BBL, etc.)
The candidate should have a good track record and should provide 3 professional references.
- Entering medical history of patients in EMR (PatientNOW) including familiarity with answering phone calls
- OR scheduling / pre op
- Take digital X-rays
- Set-up/break down surgical suites for cosmetic surgery. Familiarity with sterile technique for procedures in the fully accredited on-site Operating Room
- Sterilize instruments
- Minimum 2-years experience is required and must be a "certified" MA or Scrub Tech
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Poise and confidence
- Candidate needs to be a team player and interact with staff in a pleasant manner
- Spanish or Portuguese speaking is required
- Candidate should be capable of cross-selling other procedures/products offered in the practice
