Position Overview:
As a Hospital Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our Tampa Veterinary Hospital. You will oversee a team of technicians, pharmacy technicians, technician assistants, animal caretakers and guest service representatives. Your responsibilities include daily assignments, scheduling, hiring, and providing guidance to the team. Your role is essential in maintaining the high standards of care and service our facility provides to pets and our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
-Creating weekly schedules for all team members (4 weeks in advanced)
- Approve or deny time off requests and manage scheduling.
- Monitor time cards and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance
- Aid with on-boarding process with new hires
-Assist in training and coaching to ensure proper animal care. (people too!!)
-Generate protocols and introduce them to the team to make sure they are followed by all.
-Responsible for hosting monthly team meetings and getting sponsorship
-Attend and participate in weekly leadership meetings
- Complete non-compliance injury/ safety forms
- Troubleshoot and fix equipment issues throughout the hospital.
- Delegates daily tasks

- Address guest questions and concerns to maintain a high level of service.
- Oversees the daily operations of the facility and delegating daily tasks
-Following up to inspect what you expect to be done
- Maintain effective appointment scheduling and hospital flow
- Screen and interview candidates
- Collaborate with HR for employee reviews, coaching, and hiring
- Follow up on checklist completion
- Engaging team members conversations to gain solutions
- Training for delivery and accuracy of estimates and invoices
- Monitor time cards and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
- Providing CE opportunities to the team
- Maintaining relationships with vendors
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience- preferred not required
- Previous experience in a similar role in the veterinary or animal care industry.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of veterinary software (Avimark, Vetbloom) is a plus.
