POSITION SUMMARY:
The Area Manager South Florida is responsible for managing and developing sales of Tampico Brand within the assigned region. This position manages direct retail customer relationships while increasing sales and distribution with designated independent and chain retail groups & stores. The Area Manager is also responsible for increasing flavor distribution, alternative packages distribution to the assigned retail locations, and ensure merchandising standards are maintained to corporate standards. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and will work closely with the Director of Sales on the merchandising and executional plans across all sales channels for the South Florida market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute yearlong growth plans aimed at increasing sales & distribution at assigned major retailers.
- Visit and merchandise stores daily within designated territory to maximize route efficiency.
- Sell displays, racks, merchandising product, new SKU’s, and packages to current customers at retail and chain level.
- Maintain proper POS inventory levels and company assets.
- Partner with Distributor/Retailer sales personnel to monitor retail activity and facilitate selling process at key retailers.
- Review and update daily retail sales routes, complete weekly recaps and manage assigned customer service billings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of CPG sales experience preferred; Retail Merchandising experience required; Beverage experience preferred.
- Associate's degree required, Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Bilingual - English / Spanish preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication. and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.; other physical abilities include bending, reaching, and kneeling.
- Flexibility to work on weekends when needed for special events, grand openings, trade shows, etc.
- Ideal place of residence: Southern Florida (Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami, FL)
