Job Summary
Job Summary: Greet guests at Willow House or BMPH and manages all front desk duties: check-in/out, room keys and etc. Creates first impression of facilities by creating a professional environment.
Adhere to the TCC Ch'eghwtsen' model of service and guiding principle which requires providing timely and effective service along with the ability to interact with others in a way that inspires trust and demonstrates respect, compassion and empathy.
Essential Functions

Representative Duties: Under general supervision of the Hotel/Patient Hostel Manager job incumbent will:
1. Greet and welcome guests, assign rooms and keys.
2. Answer front desk phone, collect and distribute messages for guests.
3. Prepare registration invoices and collect payment for visits. This may include Medicaid Vouchers, Tribal Letter of Authorization, TCC entities (AJ Forms) and self-pay.
4. Document Meal Tickets given to approved guest.
5. Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and facilities to assure requests from guests are completed in a timely manner. Periodically checks the building for safety during shift.
6. Prepares written shift reports, incident reports.
7. Ensures all Policy and Procedures are adhered to by guest and stays are safe, alcohol and drug free.
8. Acts as support person for patients, when necessary.
9. Make sure all guest are comfortable and safe. Make sure all guest have meals, linens, extra blankets, supplies, when necessary.
10. Prepare rooms for clients, when necessary.
11. Create reservations for future and returning guests.
Other Responsibilities:
12. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or GED, or must be working towards obtaining a GED within 1 year of employment.
2. Must be 18 years of age.
3. 2 years Customer Service experience.
4. Experience working with Alaska Natives in a health care or social services setting, or a patient hostel.
5. Prefer previous experience or background as a Health Aide, Community Health Representative, LPN, Nurse's aide, or other Social Service field.
6. Must be current in CPR and First Aid.
7. Since we provide accommodations to medical patients/guest at the Hotel/Hostel, must be able to handle emergency situations. Deal with stress/crisis situations in efficient cam manner.
8. Must pass background check pursuant to federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements.
9. Must pass background check pursuant to Alaska DHSS and federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Ability to work independently and with others.
2. Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and work with minimal supervision.
3. Basic Computer Skills.
4. Must be able to work days, evenings, nights, or weekend shifts, as scheduled.
5. Must be able to manage unsatisfied guests, as needed.
