Representative Duties: Under the supervision of the Village Tribal Council, (For other responsibilities and supervisory roles refer to Memorandum of Agreement Section II Employees) job incumbent:
1. Receives, reads, and routes incoming mail.
2. Maintains files of correspondence and other records. Type's correspondence, forms, reports and other related materials as necessary.
3. Becomes familiar with grants and other funding available to the tribe; process grant proposals and application forms. Provides information to members of the tribe and help process their applications for specific program funds.
4. Attends council meetings, coordinate training for council members, post notices of meetings, prepare agenda and record minutes of meetings; submits regular progress to the council.
5. Maintains program records and implement requested services. Monitors all tribal budgets.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Knowledge of Native culture and tribal structure.
3. Knowledge of general office procedures and ability to operate standard office equipment.
4. Ability to compute mathematical calculations for budget preparation and analysis.
5. Previous grant writing experience preferred. Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
6. Previous supervision experience helpful.
7. Must pass background check pursuant to federal Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
2. Strong public relation skills a must.
Supervision: This position is the designated onsite supervisor for all TCC rural based employees residing in their village. May also supervise tribal staff, if requested by the Tribal Council.
