We are hiring a caring full-time Assistant Program Director who will monitor, manage, and oversee the planning, coordination, and administration of the JDT Program, ensuring adherence to Tancell Care and regulatory standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures. This position reports to the Program Director.

What’s a workday look like for the Assistant Program Director?
Specifically, you will…
The Assistant Program Director (APD) supports the Program Director in developing and managing the day-to-day operations of the JDT program. This role focuses on supervising Program Managers and Direct Support Professionals (DSP), ensuring compliance, and operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality, person-centered services that prepare participants for employment and community integration.
Essential Functions:
Management Oversight:
- Supervise and support Program Managers and DSPs, ensuring effective leadership of their teams and adherence to program objectives.
- Conduct regular meetings with Program Managers and DSPs to review performance, address challenges, and share best practices.
- Provide staff management to include hiring, development, training, performance management, HR compliance and retention to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
Program Implementation:
- Oversee the consistent implementation of individualized training plans and skill-building workshops designed to meet participant goals.
- Support Program Managers in resolving operational challenges and maintaining compliance with JDT regulations and standards.
- Monitor participant progress and ensure alignment between services delivered and Person-Centered Plans (PCPs).
Training and Staff Development:
- Oversee staff training on Person-Centered Planning, vocational coaching techniques, and positive behavioral interventions.
- Ensure Program Managers provide direct staff with the necessary tools and resources to effectively deliver training and support services.
- Promote leadership development opportunities for Program Managers and other staff to foster a culture of growth and excellence.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Conduct periodic audits of participant records and program operations to ensure compliance with state and organizational policies.
- Review and approve incident reports, monitoring trends to identify areas for program improvement.
- Address quality assurance issues identified during internal or external audits and implement corrective actions.
Operational Coordination:
- Assist Program Managers in scheduling and resource allocation to ensure efficient program operations.
- Facilitate interdepartmental communication to maintain alignment with organizational goals and policies.
- Provide support during staffing shortages or emergencies to maintain service delivery standards.
Crisis and Incident Management:
- Support Program Managers during participant crises, providing guidance and ensuring appropriate resolution, documentation, and follow-up.
- Analyze incident data to identify trends and recommend preventative measures.
