We are presently hiring for caring Behavioral Health Associate (BHA) across Washoe County who will assist and support these vulnerable individuals at their home. BHA will be responsible for monitoring and reporting of client behaviors, providing continuous client care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling. BHA will travel to the participant's home on their scheduled time. You will get a chance to help them enjoy life, as it enriches yours!

What’s a workday look like for a Behavioral Health Associate (BHA)?
Through your clear communication, you will help our participants in their daily living, hygiene skills, behavioral intervention and social activities out in the community. The focus is to maintain a clean, safe, stimulating living environment, provide transportation (as needed) and facilitate them become active members of their communities.
Specifically, you will…
- Assist individuals in learning basic living skills, adapting to the community environment and establishing supportive relationships within the community.
- Assist persons in areas of personal care, home management, and meal planning, shopping, and health maintenance.
- Engages with participant in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
- Promotes participant-focused strategies to address diverse areas such as social skills, coping skills, anger management, and skills for independent living.
- Documents in client records timely, accurately, and appropriately.
- Applies de-escalation techniques to help manage participant’s emotions, behavior, and participation.
- Maintains awareness of participants' needs and individual goals while motivating them towards activities that are beneficial. Observes participants' interest levels and behaviors.
- Provides transfer or transportation for participant or coordinates transportation with appropriate staff member, as required.
- Maintain Habilitation Plans and Data Trackers to satisfy all reporting requirements.
Where and when will you work?
You will work at participant’s home across Washoe County.
Multiple different shifts available and offer flexibility based on your and your chosen individual’s schedule.
Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN (as needed) positions available.
