What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Information Technology position at Tandem Health?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises IT personnel by delegating tasks, approving time sheets, providing training and coaching, and fostering professional development
- Oversees the daily operations of the organization's Information Technology, including but not limited to servers, telephony, networking, storage, disaster recovery, switches, routers, DSL, firewall appliances, workstations, tablets, wireless access points, applications, and connectivity to all approved Tandem Health network devices
- Monitors processes to ensure the optimal performance and security of the organization's Information Technology resources, aligning them with the healthcare needs of Tandem Health's patients
- Coordinates and delegates responsibilities for the implementation of technical projects and tasks, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives
- Assists in the preparation of the IT budget, monitors IT expenditures, and prepares reports as required
- Manages the IT Asset Management program, including the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT hardware and software
- Ensures the creation and maintenance of documentation on departmental processes
- Updates and maintains the Disaster Recovery Manual, ensuring that backup processes meet all business requirements
- Keeps abreast of information technology trends and makes appropriate recommendations
- Promptly reports issues or business concerns to the CITO
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein as may be assigned or delegated by the CITO
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (or related field of study) preferred
- A minimum of 4 years' experience related to Information Systems knowledge/support and leadership/supervisory experience required
- An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience will be considered
