What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Medicine Physician position at Tandem Health?
The Family Medicine Physician provides direct care to patients of all ages in a primary care setting. Performs medical services including examinations and evaluations, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, consultations, and health education to patients of all ages within the scope of family practice. Responsibilities include precepting the Nurse Practitioners on staff and assuming an active role in meetings, provider CPI activities and other team building activities. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Must have successfully completed medical training at a (4) four year accredited medical school and received a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.) degree.
- Current license with the SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Board of Medical Examiners.
- Completed successfully a residency in a primary care setting.
- Three or more years of experience beyond residency in a primary care setting is preferred.
- Controlled Substance Certification and current CPR Certification required
