Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Territory Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting Tandem's products and services within your assigned territory. This is a field-based position, which requires frequent travel and interaction with customers, referral sources, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute strategic business plans to meet and exceed sales goals
* Identify and establish relationships with potential customers and partners
* Provide account sales support and continuing education to patients, physicians, and their Clinical Educators on the technical use of insulin pump therapy
Requirements:
* BS/BA from a four-year college or university plus 3 years of related industry sales experience; preferably in one or more of the following areas: diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, and managed care
* Ability to travel at least 80% in your assigned territory; must maintain a valid driver's license and required auto insurance as well as good driving record, per company policy
* Motivation and drive to meet and even exceed sales goals
* Ability to relate effectively with patients, referral sources and health care professionals
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers to resolve issues and answer questions according to company protocols and requirements
