A hospital system in South Jersey is actively seeking a licensed Interventional Gastroenterologist with experience in Third Space Endoscopy to join their growing team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 4 days/week; about 2 in the hospital doing procedures and 2 doing outpatient work
- Call: 1:4 for advanced endo GI and 1:17 for general GI
Responsibilities:
The Third Space Endoscopy Gastroenterologist will be responsible for:
- Clinically evaluating and managing patients with a wide range of gastroenterological conditions on the inpatient and outpatient clinical service
- In the outpatient clinical setting, primarily focusing on evaluation for and performance of general and advanced endoscopic procedures
- Performing advanced procedures such as ESD, POEM, ERCP and EUS
- Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
- Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients
- Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary
- Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary
- Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary
- Performing other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Advanced Endoscopy
- Experience in Third Space Endoscopy
