What are the responsibilities and job description for the A/R Collections Specialist (MSK) position at Tandym Group?
Tandym Group has several immediate opportunities for A/R Collections Specialists with a client in New York. These contracts will be 100% remote. These resources will be focused on billing, specifically working in IDX.
Must Have Experience:
- 5 years of revenue cycle experience focused on Facility/Inpatient A/R, Collections, Follow up and Billing
- Experience with Claim Edits.
- Experience with Denials.
- Need full-lifecycle experience working denials from start to resolution
- Experience with Appeals.
- Need full-lifecycle experience working appeals from start to resolution, creating appeals letters, etc.
- Need experience doing collections & follow-up using IDX system (IDX athena, IDX centricity)
- Experience calculating reimbursements, determining coinsurances and reviewing contracts
- Experience with both commercial and government payers
- Excellent customer service skills
- Possesses a proactive and metrics driven approach
- Understanding of most effective ways to handle work-queues
- Proven experience clearing 40-60 accounts per day with an emphasis on collections made via phone.
Nice to Have Experience:
- Experience with New York State claims
- Experience working with cancer claims
- Experience working with IPAs & DOFRs
- Experience following up on, appealing and collecting on high-dollar, complex claims (looking for collections on claims $100k - $500k )
