What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer/Purchasing Coordinator position at Tandym Group?
A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a new Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for order placement and monitoring to ensure delivery of products and services to end users.
This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 days a week.
Responsibilities :
The Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator will :
Provide customer service support to departments both on and off campus
Oversee the entire ordering process from approved requisition to matched invoice
Work with Suppliers for order follow-up and product research
Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services of a critical nature and of significant spend volumes across all locations
Initiate follow-up on orders to clarify, change or solve discrepancies
Work closely with Strategic Sourcing and Data team members to identify opportunities for items needed by end users, supplier adds and changes
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
1 years of experience in a Buying and / or Purchasing-related role
High School Diploma / GED
Computer savvy
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid problem solving and time management skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
