What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Tandym Group?
A well-known healthcare organization is seeking a Buyer to join their growing team. This individual will be responsible for order placement and monitoring to ensure delivery of products and services to end users. This role will provide customer service support to departments both on and off campus. This person will also be responsible for the entire ordering process from approved requisition to matched invoice. Working with Suppliers for order follow-up and product research. This position will be involved with various projects to improve the process of the Procurement Operations team as well as Supply Chain as a whole.
- Location: Midtown
- Schedule: Onsite 2 days a week (Wednesday & Thursday)
- Length: 6 months temp to perm
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end ordering process, ensuring timely delivery and accurate invoice matching.
- Provide customer service support to internal and external departments across all locations.
- Collaborate with suppliers for order follow-up, product research, and discrepancy resolution.
- Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Data, and Automation teams to enhance procurement processes and technologies.
- Support supply chain improvements by participating in projects and maintaining clear procurement records.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of procurement operations, supply chain management, and customer service.
- Experience with full-cycle ordering, supplier coordination, and invoice reconciliation.
- Ability to resolve supply issues and identify alternative sourcing solutions.
- Proficient in using procurement technologies and participating in automation initiatives.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on ethical practices.
