A healthcare organization in New York is actively seeking a new EEG Technician to join their Outpatient team at one of their facilities in Syracuse.
About the Opportunity
- Schedule: 5 shift per week (including weekends & holidays)
- Hours: 8am to 4:30pm or 4pm to 12:30am
- Setting: Acute Care
Responsibilities:
- Perform routing EEG's in accordance with established ASET guidelines on patients ranging from neo-natal to geriatric in outpatient and inpatient setting
- Enters raw data and prepare data for physician review
- Measure and apply electrodes for adult and pediatric patients
- Handle descriptive analysis of EEG waveforms and patterns observed
- Maintain equipment, stock acquisition stations, report malfunctions, and record in equipment logbook
- Follow existing hospital/department policy and procedures
Qualifications:
- 1 year of EEG experience
- Registered EEG
- BLS/CPR certification
- Computer savvy
- Solid assessment and documentation
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with EMR Electronic Medical Record system
