- Start Date: ASAP
- Department: OPD (Adult Specialties)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week - 1 hour unpaid lunch)
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will:
- Screen patients and make the appropriate referral for services required
- Prepare charts for sessions as assigned by Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse and assure that all laboratory work and ancillary reports are entered
- Document all clinical transactions with patient on patient's chart
- Assist the Nurse Manager / Charge Nurse with case management activities and document actions taken
- Assist the medical staff with treatment and diagnostic procedures (e.g., urine catheterization, fixes slides for pap smears, hand instruments to Physicians)
- Perform EKGs and venipuncture on Adults and Pediatric patients
- Administer injections (flu shots and immunizations)
- Monitor equipment and supplies for clinic session, assuring adequate quantities are available
- Handle patient care follow ups; document action taken in patient's chart
- Perform other duties, as needed
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Bilingual English/Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
- 1 year of experience as an LPN in an Ambulatory Healthcare setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
