A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Nephrologist to join their growing team at one of their facilities in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Mix of Inpatient & Outpatient duties
- Call: Rotated (1:3 pager weekday pages; 1:4 weekend onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat kidney diseases, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and end-stage renal disease
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
- Manage patients on dialysis
- Conduct office visits for follow-up care, medication management, and patient education
- Handle hospital rounding and admissions for nephrology patients
- Round at dialysis centers to monitor treatment progress and address patient concerns
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.)
- Completion of Nephrology Fellowship
- Board Certification / Eligibility in Nephrology
- NYS medical license
- Strong clinical skills and excellent bedside manner
