A health services network in Syracuse, NY is seeking a new Nuclear Medicine Tech to join their growing CT / MRI team.

About the Opportunity :

  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Assignment Length : 13-week contract (possibility of extension)
  • Shift : Days
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday
  • Hours : 8-hour shifts
  • Setting : Acute Care
  • Department : Radiologic Tech - CT / MRI
  • EMR : Epic

Responsibilities :

  • Greet the patient and explain to them the examination they are about to undergo
  • Position the patient and set the proper exposure factors in order to obtain the required quality radiograph
  • Practice appropriate radiation safety and protection to assure that patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure
  • Obtain quality studies and to report any malfunctions with equipment to immediate supervisor
  • Process films and input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes.
  • Ensure the proper use of imaging equipment and following department procedures and protocol
  • Perform other duties, as needed

    • Qualifications :

  • 1 year of CT / MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • NYS license / registration
  • Efficient knowledge base to operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively

    • Desired Skills :

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual
  • Experience working with the EPIC EMR system
