A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking a Spanish-speaking professional to join their growing team on a Part-time basis as their new Nutrition Education Coordinator. In this role, the Nutrition Education Coordinator will be responsible for Nutrition Education Coordinator will be responsible for preparing for and implementing biweekly nutrition workshops in accordance with program curriculum, virtually or in-person via Zoom and at assigned locations.
About the Opportunity :
Assignment Length : February to November
Schedule : Part-time
Hours : 20 to 25 per week
Setting : Remote (attend event occasionally)
Responsibilities :
Set up a suitable demo area for virtual workshops with sufficient space and lighting.
Prepare slides for visual component of education
Offer workshop sessions in English and Spanish
Complete post-workshop self-evaluations
Assist program participants in setting up their online account
Guide program participants in purchase
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Experience in confidently leading nutrition workshops in both English and Spanish
Interested in and knowledgeable about Cooking, Community Nutrition, Food Justice, and Food Safety
Solid problem solving and time management skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
