A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed PMR Physician to join their growing team in Queens.

About the Opportunity :

Schedule : Monday to Friday - Open to part time or full time
Hours : 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm or 11am to 7pm
Specialty : PMR - Pain Management
Setting : Outpatient

Responsibilities :

The PMR Physician will :

Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, or other functional impairments

Assess patients' medical history, physical condition, and functional limitations

Establish accurate diagnoses based on clinical assessments, medical history, and any necessary diagnostic tests

Develop personalized treatment plans to address the specific needs and goals of each patient

Prescribe and oversee physical therapy and rehabilitation exercises to improve mobility, strength, and function.

Administer joint or soft tissue injections when necessary for pain management or therapeutic purposes

Manage chronic pain conditions using a combination of medical, physical, and psychological approaches.

Prescribe medications or other pain management techniques to alleviate discomfort and improve function

Perform and interpret electrodiagnostic studies such as electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies to assess nerve and muscle function.

Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and strategies for self-management.

Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications :

Licensed to practice in the State of New York

Board Eligible / Certified
