A recognized healthcare system in New York is looking to add an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to one of their facilities in Rockland County.
Responsibilities:
The Professional Development Specialist (RN) will:
- Serve as a Nursing Leader, Practice Mentor, and Education Resource to a wide range of academically prepared Nurses across all practice settings to build a learning organization culture
- Collaborate with Hospital Leaders, Directors and Nurse Managers to advance the knowledge, skills and competencies of frontline staff through orientation and clinically relevant education programs
- Promote professional development of clinical staff with ongoing education, research, quality improvement and regulatory readiness to ensure a safe, effective, and efficient patient care environment
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3 years of Clinical experience
- Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience as an educator or in staff development
- Experience in professional Nursing and Evidence-based practice, including Participatory Leadership, Continuous Learning environment, Nursing Education, Shared Governance, and Professional Development
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree in Nursing
Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
