A New York City-based health services network is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to one of their facilities in Queens as their new Nurse Manager - Perioperative Services .
Responsibilities :
The Nurse Manager (RN) - Perioperative Serviceswill :
Work directly with the patient care team in identifying and solving patient problems / complaints
Relay patient information to doctors and communicate with other health team members about a patient's care
Provide information about care and treatment to patients and families
Promote an atmosphere which facilitates collaboration and empowerment of staff
Assess and evaluate staff competency
Assist with ensuring adequate labor coverage
Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications :
3 years of experience in Perioperative Services
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
ACLS and BLS certifications
Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
Patient oriented
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized Desired Skills :
Master's Degree in Nursing
Experience in a team-based, collective bargaining environment
