A nonprofit organization in New York City is looking to add a new Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to their growing team. In this role, the Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator will be responsible for playing a large role in the daily operations of the Accounts Payable Department by processing vendor payments and purchase orders.
About the Opportunity
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Temp to Perm
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm (35-hour work week)
Responsibilities:
- Record all Accounts Payable transactions in adherence to US GAAP on a timely basis
- Ensure all vendor information to record an invoice is entered accurately in Financial Edge
- Address and resolve vendor inquiries; process purchase orders
- Provide excellent customer service with a sense of urgency to both vendors and employees
- Assist in delegating invoices and check requests submitted to the AP mailbox Process and pay vendor invoices Gather required documentation for various audits, including program and external audits
- Provide ad-hoc trouble shooting and technical assistance to other AP team members
- Assist in overseeing the efforts of gathering required documentation for various audits, including program and external audits
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of related work experience
- Associate's Degree
- Knowledge of topical areas including Accounts Payable and related workstreams
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including creating and manipulating pivot tables, using basic formulas including various lookups, and ability to review large volumes of data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, and/or a related field
- Nonprofit background
- Working knowledge of Financial Edge
Salary : $30 - $35
