A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Senior Director of Operations, Behavioral Health to provide administrative oversight and strategic leadership for inpatient, outpatient, and community behavioral health services. Reporting to the Vice President of Behavioral Health Services, this role will focus on regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and quality improvement initiatives across the service line.
Responsibilities
The Senior Director of Operations, Behavioral Health will be responsible for:
- Overseeing day-to-day operations for Inpatient Services and the Psychiatric Emergency Department
- Supervising and supporting direct reports within Outpatient and Community Behavioral Health Services
- Collaborating with Psychiatry, Nursing, Social Work, and other leadership to ensure compliance with hospital policies, survey readiness, and incident reporting
- Leading quality, safety, patient experience, and revenue-enhancing initiatives to align with strategic goals
- Ensuring regulatory compliance with accrediting agencies such as OMH, TJC, and CMS
- Assisting in the design, implementation, and monitoring of clinical and therapeutic programming across the behavioral health continuum
- Participating in hospital-wide performance improvement projects, committees, and initiatives as assigned by the VP of Behavioral Health Services
Qualifications
- Current NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- 7 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a licensed and accredited behavioral health program
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance in behavioral health, including OMH, TJC, and CMS standards
- Experience implementing Lean Methodologies in healthcare operations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with a collaborative leadership approach

Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
