A public accounting firm in NYC is seeking a Tax Manager for its Film and Television Production / Intellectual Property practice area. Responsibilities :
The Tax Manager will :
Review entity-level and individual income tax returns, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns and other deliverables, serving as a primary service contact in conjunction with the partner-in-charge
Act as a liaison between clients and government tax authorities to answer questions and resolve potential discrepancies
Oversee a team of three to four other tax professionals in administering services to the clients within the practice area
Stay current on changes in relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client savings
Participate in Firm recruiting efforts and in initiatives to increase staff retention
Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications :
5 years of Tax experience within a Public Accounting
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and / or Taxation
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized Desired Skills :
CPA or parts passed and / or EA certification
Interest in the Entertainment industry
