A Fortune 10 Company is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Maintenance Technician with a strong background in military aviation and aircraft maintenance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assembly and disassemble, component repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems. Experience with Linux and Python is highly valued, along with the ability to interpret and revise technical manuals, SOPs, and blueprints.
About the Opportunity:
- Location: On site local to Seattle Washington
- Contract Details: 40 hours a week, 6-7-month contract position.
- Hours: Must be flexible working early shift or later shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly and disassemble of aircraft components with precision and adherence to technical specifications.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve system malfunctions.
- Repair and maintain mechanical and electronic components, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Utilize Linux and Python for diagnostic tools, automation, and data analysis (preferred).
- Read, interpret, and update technical manuals, blueprints, and SOPs to improve clarity and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams and provide feedback for process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Aviation and aircraft experience is required.
- Strong understanding of technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with component repair and maintenance.
- Experience in technical writing (SOP revisions, work instructions, and manuals).
- Familiarity with Linux and Python is a plus.
- A&P License (Air frame & Power-plant) is preferred.
- Education from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is a plus.
