A leading organization is currently seeking a Records Management System (RMS) Administrator to oversee the management, development, and support of its RMS. This role is essential in ensuring the system aligns with IT architecture and standards while providing user support and system maintenance.
Requires onsite presence 2 days per week in Vienna, VA, or Pensacola, FL, or Winchester, VA
Responsibilities: The RMS Administrator will be responsible for:
- Administering and providing support for the Records Management System (RMS)
- Managing day-to-day operations, development, enhancement, and support of the RMS
- Ensuring compliance with IT architecture and standards
- Creating and managing users and user groups, assigning privileges and restrictions based on job roles
- Providing configuration assistance to developers and system analysts
- Monitoring and resolving system-related issues, including application maintenance and user management
- Performing root cause analysis on software issues related to usage, data integration, and workflow processes
- Installing and upgrading applications on Windows IIS servers
- Managing policy servers, Web Agents, and Secure Proxy Servers
- Documenting software updates, release notes, and user guides
- Collaborating with software vendors, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders for feature requests and issue resolution
- Supporting quality assurance, technical support, and system testing
- Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and technology updates
Qualifications:
- Experience in application maintenance, user management, and managing support incidents
- Proficiency in configuring and managing policy servers, Web Agents, and Secure Proxy Servers
- Strong knowledge of software installation, upgrades, and maintenance on Windows IIS servers
- Experience with Microsoft, Novell, Unix, and Linux systems administration, including backup and recovery
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe)
- Experience using network management and protocol analyzers
